During an interview with the local press and the news sites on the web, Maj. Gen. Dr/ Amr Hegab (General Manager & CEO of IMC) stressed that the development and modernization process does not stop inside the International Medical Center.

Dr / Amr Hegab said that (I M C) is proud to be accredited by the "JCI" (first military hospital in Egypt, Africa, and the fifth military hospital in the world to obtain a certificate of adoption of the International Joint Commission "JCI"). The accreditation is granted after ensuring the full compliance with JCI standards with focus in the following priority areas; patient safety, environmental safety, patient rights, delivering the highest quality care to patients, safe use of medications, safe use of anesthesia, prevention and control of infection, in addition to ensuring the competency of hospital staff in providing services and continuous training and development of staff.

Dr / Amr Hegab said that the JCI certificate is as a starting point, not the end, where the International Medical Center is seeking to reach human errors to a minimum, and also seeks to further development, construction and progress after obtaining this certificate.

Dr / Amr Hegab disclosed that the tumors treatment unity, is one of the best units in Egypt and the Middle East, pointing out that it includes the latest radiation therapy machines in the world, pointing out that the treatment of tumors either chemotherapy or radiation is highly advanced with very high quality, explaining that there is considerable interest in this therapeutic unit due the numbers with tumors growing in all parts of the world. International Medical Center includes 38 integrated sections in all medical disciplines, which have been equipped with the latest medical equipment in the world.
