Life is nourished by food and healthy nutrition is essential for the growth and prevention of diseases. The international Medical Center believes in the power of nutrition in health and disease and that’s why we established the clinical Nutrition Department.

• Clinical Nutrition Mission :
The Clinical Nutrition Department in the International Medical Center is committed to provide high-quality food and nutrition services in addition to specialized medical nutritional therapy that meet the needs, and exceeds the expectations, of its clients. Nutrition intervention, counseling and education are evidence-based and follows the most updated international guidelines to achieve optimal nutrition status for inpatients and outpatients to improve the overall management outcome.

• Scope of Clinical Nutrition Services:
Members of Clinical Nutrition Department are highly qualified with professional degrees in clinical nutrition so they are capable of delivering individualized nutritional care plans to be important part of patients treatment plans.



Services Provided

• Inpatient services :
Individualized medical nutritional plans for all admitted patients who are at risk of malnutrition to prevent and manage all the negative effects of malnutrition on the patient outcome , especially for critically ill and polytraumatized patients in the intensive care units and those who are dependent on enteral or parenteral nutrition.

• plans aiming to decrease the hospital stay and improve the overall outcome.

• Provides evidence based medical nutrition plans and dietary advice for all patients for prevention and management of the following conditions:
- weight management (obesity and underweight ).
- healthy nutrition through life cycle (pregnancy-lactating-infants-children Adolescents and geriatric).
- Sport nutrition.
- Medical nutrition for all diseases including : Diabetes - hypertension - hyperlipidemia - cardiovascular diseases - renal and liver diseases - in addition to cancer and gastrointestinal disorders.
